Hydden Discovery provides powerful search capabilities to help you discover, analyze, and report on identity-related data across your entire organization. The search functionality enables security teams to quickly identify risks, investigate anomalies, and maintain comprehensive visibility into access patterns and privileges.

Overview

Hydden's search is organized into two complementary feature sets:

• Global Search - Interactive search interface with real-time filtering, sorting, and column customization for Owners (Identities), Accounts, Groups, and Roles. Each entity type includes click-through access to detailed entity pages with relationship mapping and threat analysis.
• Search Library - Pre-built queries and reports organized by category including Owners & Accounts, Groups, Detections, Ownership & Mapping, Vault Integrations, User Activity, Privileges, Passwords/Secrets, and Resources & Entitlements.

Real-Time Filtering and Search

• Quick Search: Full-text search across visible table data
• Column Filters: Granular filtering on individual columns with support for multiple filter types (text, numeric, set-based)
• Advanced Operators: Support for equals, greater than, less than, contains, and set-based filters
• Multi-Column Filtering: Combine multiple filters to narrow down results precisely

Saved Searches

• Save custom search configurations with filters, column selections, and sort orders
• Share saved searches across your organization
• Mark frequently-used searches as favorites
• Update existing saved searches or create new ones from any search state

Data Export

• Export search results to CSV format for offline analysis
• Streaming export supports large datasets (up to configured limits)
• Exports respect current filters and column selections
• Batch processing for efficient handling of large result sets (1000 records per batch)

Search Architecture

Hydden's search is powered by a graph-based entity store that maintains relationships between identities, accounts, groups, and resources. This architecture enables:

• Relationship Traversal: Follow connections between entities (e.g., find all groups an account belongs to, both direct and nested)
• Recursive Queries: Discover expanded group memberships and privilege escalation paths
• Fast Filtering: Indexed attributes enable rapid filtering across millions of entities
• Threat Correlation: Combine identity data with threat detection rules for risk-based searches

Getting Started

1. Navigate to Search: Access Global Search from the main navigation menu
2. Select Entity Type: Choose the Owners, Accounts, Groups, or Roles tab
3. Apply Filters: Use the search field and column filters to narrow results
4. Customize View: Show/hide columns using the Columns panel
5. Save Your Search: Click Save to preserve your configuration for future use
6. Export Data: Use Export to CSV for offline analysis or reporting
